COLLABORATIVE INTERNATIONAL EFFORT

WEISS MAXIMIZES SPEED BY 25% FOR INNOVATIVE IRRIGATION PARTS SYSTEM

Netafim, Ltd. was able to increase speed and precision performance significantly (25%) for their drip irrigation parts test and assembly system; giving rise to a broad range of products and solutions ideally suited to agriculture, greenhouses, and the mining industry. Through close cooperation between WEISS, Innovative, and Netafim, the first system was successfully implemented and repeat orders soon followed.

ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL

WEISS DEVELOPS CR 2600 HEAVY DUTY RING TABLE WITH LARGE CENTER OPENING TO ACHIEVE ROBOTIC PRODUCTION EFFICIENCIES

Leading development partner for the transportation industry with a global operating workforce of over 5,600, EDAG (Detroit, MI / Fulda, Germany) recently was faced with the task of designing a heavy-duty ring for a new production concept. Featuring a distinctly large central opening, the WEISS CR 2600 is a unique combination for this size of a classic rotary table and shuttle system in which robots can access the workpiece from both sides.

RINGS THAT BIND

WEISS TR 750 ROTARY INDEXING TABLES FACILLITATE SPACE & COST SAVINGS FOR RECYCLABLE BINDING SYSTEM

When compared to a linear design, the WEISS TR 750 rotary indexing table broke new ground for Kugler-Womako by saving space and moving the infeed and output areas of the blocks closer together − offering a particular advantage for manual operations. Essentially, because a rotary indexing table is made up of significantly fewer parts than a transfer line, it was also possible to lower the cost for the binding machine while increasing production quality.

ACCELERATE THE CYCLE

WEISS DIRECT DRIVE TO ROTARY INDEXING TABLE OVERCOMES LIMITS OF PNEUMATICS & CUTS CYCLE TIME TO 0.3 SECONDS

Industry leading specialist for rotary tables and automation, WEISS (Buchen, Germany), and its’ subsidiary WEISS North America, Inc. (Willoughby, OH) reviewed Geissler’s test system situation and recommended a conversion to its directly driven TO series rotary indexing table to drastically cut the cycle time.

SOLVING A SPACE/TIME CONTINUUM

WEISS LS 280 LINEAR ASSEMBLY SYSTEM IS KEY TO ADVANCED CYLINDER LOCK PRODUCTION

Ultimately, the LS 280 linear assembly system allowed Aumat to better control the “exception of the exception” problem on the sector and its value was shared equally by an Aumat customer; as a second similar machine has already been sold.

FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC FINISH

WEISS ROTARY INDEXING TABLES EXPAND ROBOTIC POLISHING PROCESSING OPTIONS FOR COMPLEX GEOMETRIES

The SHL robot heaves an enormous polishing unit over the work pieces that the heavy duty rotary indexing tables from WEISS replaces with a fresh batch once processing is complete. To date, more than 1,100 SHL robotic grinding and polishing systems have been implemented worldwide.

WEISS LAYS THE HAMMER DOWN ON DURABILITY

TC SERIES ROTARY TABLES LEVERAGE ANVIL DESIGN ELEMENT FOR WELDING SYSTEMS’ HEAVY DUTY FORCE REQUIREMENTS

WEISS TC Series rotary tables offer robust design with smooth, jerk and impact-free motion and extremely long service life−backed by a 4 year warranty.

WEISS ENTERS THE OCTAGON

UNIQUE SHAPED DIAL PLATE ACCOMODATES ROBOTIC INERTIA PERFORMANCE AND ERGONOMIC EFFICIENCIES

By collaborating with WEISS on their intricate medical part subassembly system, Jerit Automation was able to achieve its next-generation octagonal design and performance goals.

WEISS "TIERED-UP" CHASSIS ASSEMBLY

FEATURES TR 1500 SERIES ROTARY INDEXING RING WITH LARGE OPEN CENTER TO ACHIEVE AUTOMATION ACCURACY, ACCESS, TOOLING, AND SERVICE ADVANTAGES

The combination of robust construction and innovative, ‘open-center’ design allowed the WEISS engineering group to provide Alpha with a superior, one- source automotive parts assembly solution−delivering a 26 second cycle time with an indexing speed of 2.3 seconds.
